Susan Lynch graduated from Marymount College with a double major in Accounting and Computer Science. While working full time, she also attended night school at Iona University and received 15 credits toward a master’s degree in education.
After gaining experience within a corporate career focused on accounting, Susan aspired to leverage her education in Computer Science to design accounting software. This was achieved during her career at Con Edison of NY utility in Manhattan.
After 8 years, in positions of increasing responsibility both in Accounting and Information Technology, her career shifted to her most rewarding profession to date. Susan became a stay-at-home mom to her two beautiful children. While this full-time endeavor continued through her children’s elementary school years, Susan served as a teacher in various capacities. She achieved Montessori-certified instructor accreditation and served as a substitute teacher and teacher’s Aide from Kindergarten through High School.
By the time her children reached high school, her passion for both people and business inspired her to start her own business, in fact several. Her intrigue for small business and professional sales took Susan on a journey. Her successful business endeavors included: a Driver’s Education training program, a health care products sales distributor (Shaklee) and eventually, after obtaining her Professional Bookkeeping license, her own successful bookkeeping services firm. In recent years, Susan and her husband, Edward Lynch, have been successful in real estate investments.
The field of real estate has always interested Susan. Her drive to enhance her real estate knowledge motivated her to obtain her license as a Real Estate professional with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Green Team as her sponsoring brokerage. Susan finds making investments in real estate to be challenging yet rewarding. Buying and selling real estate is a passion she wishes to share with others. Susan has always relied on her extensive education and broad life experiences to be successful in all that she does. This has given her skills to help her clients reach their own life goals too.
Susan has consistently made community service her priority. Leveraging her small business experiences, she has been an active member of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, serving as a Director on the Board. Susan’s leadership experience includes past President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Middletown Chapter of Business Networking International, past Treasurer of the Warwick Lions Club and as Board of Director Nominating Committee member at the Warwick Country Club. Susan is not only a strong asset to her clients, but she is also a community servant to Warwick and its surrounding communities.
If someone was to ask Susan “What kind of person are you?” Her answer would be based on her diverse life experiences as a mom, wife, teacher, analyst, business owner, sales professional, and leader in the community. Most importantly, Susan is a trusted, hard-working, and dedicated confidante to her clients. She is a strong connector of people; relationship driven – not transaction focused. While Susan is very knowledgeable in many areas, when she doesn’t have the answers herself, she has the humility and interest to seek them from others to ensure accuracy. Susan can be counted on to work tirelessly in order to make her success, her clients’ success!
