Ed’s love of real estate is a passion first recognized by his parents when he was in fourth grade. By age 12, junior working papers in hand, he was saving for a down payment. As a 22 year old, his wife’s navigation brought them to the Warwick Valley where within eight months they’d purchased land and completed construction of their first home. Ten years later, they’d welcomed two sons, were employed locally, completed a minor subdivision, and built 2 more houses. And now these empty-nesters relocated from Warwick’s countryside into the Village of Warwick completing a major energy efficiency renovation of a 1971 ranch (mentioned in the January 2016 Realtor Magazine).
Graduating magna cum laude with a B.S. in biology from Iona College, he earned his M.S. in zoology from Rutgers University. Ed taught sciences at Warwick Valley High School for over 30 years, completing his 40 year teaching career at SUNY_Orange. He is well-known and respected in the community. Among other recognitions, he’s been honored twice by STANYS, as Outstanding Science Teacher of the Year and as Outstanding Environmental Science Teacher of the Year, and has also been named Orange County Conservation Teacher of the Year and NYS Conservation Teacher of the Year. Physically active, he enjoys walking, swimming and bicycling year-round. Ed and his wife raised their sons in Warwick and have made this their home since 1981.
A calm and focused leader known for his attention to detail and skills of management and negotiation, Ed is excited to be a part of the Green Team. With a seemingly boundless energy and enthusiasm and wide breadth of housing industry and commercial knowledge, he especially enjoys working with clients to help them achieve their dreams and looks forward to meeting with you and serving you and your real estate needs.
