That background matters. As a property manager, David spent nearly two decades understanding what makes a home work. Not just how it looks, but how it holds up, how it functions, and what it takes to keep things running well for the people who live there. That kind of experience does not come from a textbook.

Now, David is channeling that foundation into a career in real estate sales, joining BHGRE Green Team at the Vernon office in Sussex County, NJ.

From New York City to Vernon Township

Three years ago, David made a move that a lot of people think about but never follow through on. He left New York City for Vernon Township, NJ, looking for more space, a slower pace, and a stronger sense of community.

He found all three.

“I’ve really come to appreciate the balance of being in a quieter area while still having convenient access to New York,” he says. “The move allowed me to build deeper connections within the local community.”

That connection is not just something David talks about. He shows up at local events, community festivals, farmers markets, and town celebrations. He knows the area not as a newcomer looking in, but as a resident who has put down real roots here. His daughter Alaiah attends Lounsberry Hollow Middle School in the Vernon Township school district. His family, including his wife Aury, their daughter, and their maltipoo Chloe, are part of this community.

When buyers ask him what Vernon is actually like to live in, he does not have to guess.

A Professional Background Built on Property and People

Before real estate, David spent 17 years as a property manager in New York City. He holds a degree in liberal arts and a property management certification, and he has personal experience as a property owner and investor. He is currently in the process of selling one of his own investment properties.

That combination gives him a perspective most newer agents do not have. He understands leases, maintenance, tenant relationships, building operations, and the financial side of owning property. He knows what buyers and sellers are actually walking into because he has lived it himself.

His professional skills are direct and practical: clear communication, strong customer service, calm problem solving, solid time management, and a genuine ability to network and build long-term relationships. He is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable using digital tools to stay on top of transactions and client needs.

He spends as much time as possible with his family and is a regular face at Vernon’s community events and local businesses.
