Worked for NYPD 1st Precinct in Tribeca Manhattan as a Police administrative aide in the 124 room, processing arrests, felonies, larcenies, missing persons and complaint reports, while working midnight tours handling uncensored situations first hand requiring immediate assistance, and typically working with people and families during crisis. Absolutely loved this position and the experiences it provided, which to this day has ultimately shaped my life

How and why did you become a real estate agent?

Why I became a realtor?  Real estate chose me… I’m drawn to the innate ability to listen and recognize the needs of clients and facilitate solutions that change people’s lives. Knowing their personal stories and hardships while equipping them for the best outcome under any circumstance – It’s the reason I love what I do, and who I do it for.

What do you like best about being a real estate agent?

Implementing strategic solutions. Helping clients get through to the other side of whatever circumstances they may be facing while putting things into perspective is key.  Providing a steady hand of experience and reassurance to buyers/sellers who are overwhelmed. It’s important to be able to take an honest look at the current situation. Taking a proactive direct approach aligning with resources & solutions is always a priority.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about selling their home?

Give yourself time, Not just physical readiness.. but also mentally preparing yourself, balancing emotions. It’ll be less stressful, once you have a plan in place with a soft target date. Take the advice you get from others with a grain of salt. Listen to the professionals who know the fine print of your situation, financials and transaction details  – Don’t get distracted  or influenced by the opinions of others or social media- it will ultimately paralyze you

What advice would you give to someone thinking about buying a home?

Continue to save money…. and just when you think you have enough, save more!  Work with a local lender who can realistically give you closing cost breakdowns.  Know what you can afford to spend comfortably.  Buy and live within your means, regardless of market conditions.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Color outside the lines and break the glass ceiling… it’s easier than you think!
